Danett Williams, Licensed Educational Psychologist #4112
Services: Psychological Testing
Bio: Hi! I'm Danett Williams, a Licensed Educational Psychologist (CA BBS No. 4112) based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, I developed and coordinated a day treatment program at an urban elementary school, where I conducted behavioral assessments and provided individual and group counseling, as well as behavior plans for children facing emotional challenges and life stressors. Currently, I work with individuals who have a range of unique needs, including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional challenges, and ADHD. My work involves conducting comprehensive assessments, providing counseling, advocating for clients, and facilitating workshops on child trauma and domestic child sex trafficking.
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Educational Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. My experience spans across various settings, including public schools, charter schools, high-performing institutions, rural areas, and Title 1 schools, working with diverse socioeconomic and racial groups.
I utilize Bruce Perry's Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), an attachment and brain-based neurodevelopmental approach that helps tailor interventions to meet your child's specific needs. I am one of only two providers in San Francisco trained to use NMT, which is particularly beneficial for children who have experienced trauma.
My practice is attachment-based, offering a warm environment where I build rapport with your child through play. I provide ongoing counseling, both in-person and online, and can often conduct virtual assessments for your convenience. "Relationships are the agent of change, and the most powerful therapy is human love." - Dr. Perry
